A AZEITONEIRA . THE OLIVE BOWL
A Oli® é a azeitoneira que concilia a estética e a função contendo simultaneamente as azeitonas e os caroços. É um objeto em porcelana pintado de preto no exterior, completamente vidrado e dividido na horizontal em duas partes iguais. A base é uma taça para servir as azeitonas e a parte superior é um depósito para os caroços os quais são retirados através de uma tampa amovível que permite a limpeza da peça. A marca Oli®, proveniente da palavra latina “olea”, que significa oliva, é um diminutivo para este fruto da oliveira, caracteristicamente curvilíneo e feminino. Transmite graciosidade e leveza, alegria e sonoridade, tornando-a de fácil leitura além fronteiras. Reforçado pela composição das letras, o logotipo caracteriza objetivamente a Oli®, como se do processo de utilização se tratasse, a primeira letra é a síntese do desenho do próprio objeto: uma azeitona. A última letra é o elemento final do processo de degustar as azeitonas: o caroço. Da autoria do designer Miguel Pinto Félix, a Oli® é a azeitoneira portuguesa para todas as azeitonas do mundo.
Oli® is the olive bowl that joins aesthetics and function, holding both olives and pits. It is a porcelain object, dyed black on the outside, completely glazed and horizontally divided into two similar parts. The base is a bowl to serve olives and the upper part is a container for the pits, which can be taken out through a removable lid, allowing the piece to be cleaned. The brand Oli® is short for the name of this curvaceous and feminine fruit from the olive tree – the olive – which originates from the Latin word “olea”. It conveys grace and lightness, joy and sound, making its understanding easier beyond borders. Reinforced by the letter composition, the logo objectively characterizes Oli®, as if it was the application process. The first letter synthesizes the drawing of the object itself: an olive. The last letter is the final element of the olive tasting process: the pit. Designed by Miguel Pinto Félix, Oli® is a Portuguese olive bowl for all the olives in the world.
